The project was to depict the executive suite of a cosmetics company. In order to create good shooting opportunities, the premises had to have studio construction qualities. For example, we didn't want to have to squeeze through narrow hallways and small rooms, which would have been tedious with 13 days of shooting on a single location. Nevertheless, we wanted metropolitan views. The solution was found in a U-shaped vacant lot in Berlin Mitte. Here we could divide the rooms freely and according to the script, i.e. draw walls, but still remain transparent, create vistas, not be bound to realism, work conceptually.
